You have questions - we have answers.
Below are some commonly asked questions by clients:

What do I need to bring to my first appointment at Good Boys?
For your first dog grooming appointment, you must bring you dog's rabies paperwork, NOT the tag, so we can verify the expiration date! If you'd like to bring your dog's favorite treats along please feel free to do so!
Does Good Boys have a cancellation policy? What if I'm just a few minutes late?
Good Boys requires 48 hours notice for all cancellations. If you are running late we ask that you let us know ASAP to see if we will still be able to service your appointment! If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not reached out, you will be charged as a no show.
My dog struggles with grooming and has bit other groomers in the past- can you groom them?
At this time Good Boys does not accept aggressive dogs for the safety of our groomers. To provide our personalized dog grooming service, we’re a small scale operation and a bite could put us out of work for a few days or months depending on the severity. We are more than happy to refer you to another groomer who specializes in handling aggressive or bitey dogs!
My dog has fleas - can you help?
To reduce the risk of fleas spreading from dog to dog, we do not accept pets that are known to have fleas. If we find fleas after the groom has started we may continue the groom in cases that aren't severe, but a sanitation fee will be added on top of the regular groom price to keep our salon clean. Fleas can be dangerous to canine health and can give your dog anemia, tapeworms and other diseases infectious to dogs and humans.
Can you help if my dog has ticks?
Good Boys will remove up to 5 ticks in a grooming appointment - if we find more than 5 we will refer you to a vet for further treatment. Ticks can transmit diseases to dogs, such as Lyme Disease, and may need veterinary care. Ticks can infect dogs, humans and other pets.
What to expect from a grooming appointment?
When you bring your dog in for a grooming appointment at Good Boys, you can expect a calm, one-on-one experience from start to finish. Every groom begins with a soothing bath using high-quality products tailored to your dog’s skin and coat, followed by a gentle blow-dry. We’ll then proceed with a customized haircut or tidy-up, taking breaks and using treats as needed to keep your pup comfortable. We finish with a nail trim, ear cleaning, and any finishing touches to ensure your dog looks — and feels — their best. Our goal is a stress-free visit and a happy, fresh-smelling dog at pickup.
Can color be added to any dog, any groom?
Color can be added on after an initial dog grooming appointment where we get to know your pup! Not all dogs are candidates for color as it requires a the dog be comfortable with standing still, having whichever body part is being dyed maneuvered, and the confidence to garner attention from everyone on the block!
What services are offered in a specialty grooming appointment?
In a specialty grooming session, we go beyond the basics to meet the unique needs of your dog’s coat and style preferences. Specialty grooms can include breed-specific cuts, custom scissoring, and advanced styling tailored to your dog’s fur type and personality. Every specialty appointment is personalized — we work with you and your dog to create a look that fits their lifestyle and comfort level. Let us know your vision, and we’ll tailor the grooming plan around it for a premium result.
Does Good Boys Grooming offer promotions or discounts?
